Winger scouted for Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers on Fourth Trial
Blaiz, who can play on either wing, was spotted in Manchester in April this year when he took part in one of our trials. Originally from Bermuda, Blaiz has played for teams in Spain and England, and is currently with the Edukick Manchester International Academy, where he plays and receives an education.
He has been training with the Manchester City Select Squad after the Lead Academy Coach scouted him at our trial in April, and played a match against grimsby Town last Saturday. Blaiz is also set to go in on trial with Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.
Blaiz has attended 4 UK Football Trials now, with interest from Crewe Alexandra coming previously, but Academy Manager Mick feels he has improved at every football trial: "He's been to a few UK Football Trials now and he's getting better every time," said Mick, "The feedback he's getting from the coaches is helping him improve and he's getting more and more used to the English game."
When asked about his main strengths, Blaiz said: "I think I’m good at dribbling and one on ones and I’m also two-footed. For personality, I like to think I’m hard working and I like challenging myself with difficult things. I train every day during the week for at least two hours a day.
We spoke to Blaiz last year after he attended a trial with Crewe, when he said: "It was challenging because the team was very skilful and they played very quickly as a team. They knew how to keep their shape and how to communicate so I found it very interesting."
