Former Chelsea Player Training with Stoke City, Blackpool and Birmingham City
Poland u16’s forward Brian Galach, has been training with Stoke City, Blackpool and Birmingham City.
Just months after ending a 7-year-stint with Leyton Orient, Brian, 15, attended our trials in Birmingham and Manchester this October.
The forward, who was called up to the Poland u16’s squad last year, was one of the standout players at both of the trials and his impressive performances led to several opportunities being presented to him.
Scouts from Blackpool arranged for him to come in for a trial with the u16’s immediately, and he registered one goal and one assist in a game against Preston.
Brian, who spent 2 years at Chelsea as a youngster, also trained with Birmingham City u18’s on November 28th before joining up with the Stoke City Development Squad a week later.
Former West Brom and Port Vale player Mark Grew, who coached Brian at our trials, arranged his sessions with Birmingham and Stoke and described him as “an excellent prospect.”
“As a coach, you can see the three or four players that stand out for you quite early on,” said Mark, “Even in the warm up you could tell he had a good left and right foot.
“He was technically excellent in the session and then in the game he scored one and set up one; his pace and power is immense.
“Brian came top of the fitness assessment at Stoke City – higher than all of their players – so things are looking quite good in that respect.”
Mark added: “He’s an excellent prospect and I’m very hopeful that things will work out for him.”
The exciting youngster has been invited back for further training at Blackpool in February where they will look to integrate him further into the squad.
Brian’s Dad, Robert, has been delighted with the whole experience since coming to the UK and claims, “everything changed when we came to UK Football Trials.”
“Everything has been fantastic, Mark grew has been brilliant arranging the trials for us,” said Robert.
He added: “When we went to UK Football Trials, all our troubles went away! They have done so much for us and gave us these opportunities.
“It’s like a dream for any young boy, what Brian’s going through at the moment.
“Everything changed for us when we booked a UK Football Trial, £100 for this is peanuts.”
