On Thursday 15th October, the UK Football Trials team returned to Scotland in the hope of following up August's success. This Summer, we held our first ever football trial in Falkirk and were so impressed with the attitude and ability of the players that we had to come back as soon as possible!

Yesterday, more than 45 players took to the turf for the chance to make it as a pro, with scouts from all over the UK looking down from the stands. One of those scouts was David Hobson, head of the Professional Football Scouts Association, and he described his first ever UK Football Trial as a "fantastic experience". "I've been hugely impressed with everything I've seen today," he said, "This is my first time to Falkirk with UK Football Trials and I wasn't sure what to expect, but the standard of play has been brilliant."

He added: "The players have listened well done what they've had to do and overall I think everyone's enjoyed themselves. There's definitely a few players that scouts will be looking to take away from here." Scouts from the SPL, Scottish Championship and semi pro were all in attendance, accompanied by others from England hoping to cherrypick Scotland's finest young talents. All players will be contacted by our team over the coming week.
