The UK Football Trials team have returned to the office today following a fantastic five days of trials across England.
Over the last week our team have travelled to Manchester, Birmingham and London to give more than 500 players the opportunity to play in front of scouts from the Premier League through to semi-pro level.
As many as 15 clubs were present at times throughout the week, each one looking for players good enough to join their academies or first teams.
In total we were able to provide 119 opportunities for 78 players, who ranged from 10-years-old right up to their late twenties.
Director of UK Football Trials Harry Price said: “What a fantastic week of trials - well done to everyone and We’d like to thank everyone who attended our trials last week, including the players, parents, coaches and scouts.
“This was one of the most enjoyable trial sets we’ve had in the seven years we’ve been running and the standard keeps getting higher – there was one trial where 19 players were scouted in an afternoon. Also we have had our most successful Birmingham trial in our history and Tom Rudd our new Operations Manager secured 5 Academy Head of Recruitment scouts at one event. This is a huge step forward as the key club decision makers are now watching the players, this speeds up the scouting process and their decisions hold huge weight.”
All of the players who attended the trials will be contacted November the 5th at the latest with a decision from the scouts.
