UK Football Trials Comes To The South West
FOOTBALLER’S from the South West are set to be given a dream opportunity to make it as a professional footballer, as UK Football Trials travels to Plymouth. After many requests from you in the last few months, we will be holding a football trial at Marjon University in Plymouth, providing players from Devon and Cornwall with the best ever chance to to be scouted by a professional football club. On Friday, August 28, players will be able to emulate their footballing heroes with an academy style training session, taken by pro club coaches, before getting the chance to play a match in front of scouts from the Premier League through to semi pro. Taking a successful model from London, Manchester and Birmingham, which has seen 110 players’ details taken by clubs so far in 2015, scouts will be able to contact players who impress, giving them the dream chance of a trial at a professional football club.
Harry Price, the founder of UK Football Trials, explains: “We have found there are plenty of talented players who either don’t get a chance at a pro club or are written off prematurely. Players in the South West will not have had the same opportunities or exposure to scouts as players from the larger Cities.” He added: “We are excited to be taking our proven model to Plymouth and give players the chance to experience not only pro club coaching but a chance to play in front of scouts. We are really hopeful we will be able to give many players in Cornwall and Devon the chance they need at a pro club.” There are not just opportunities available domestically – the Mallorca Academy will be an official partner of the trial and scouting for players to join the academy in Spain, the partners of Real Mallorca.
The trial is open to all and prices start at £70. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book in, click on the Trial Dates tab at the top of the page.
