The Team Returns From Bermuda
The coaching team at UKFT including a top 4 Premier League scout have just returned from the first leg of “The Search” in Bermuda. In a fantastic week of trials the team were given an incredibly warm welcome and enjoyed the amazing weather as well as the facilities of the National stadium. Working with over 100 players, the standard was extremely high with a number of players catching the eye.
UKFT Director Harry Price said, “We have enjoyed an incredible week in beautiful Bermuda and are so impressed with the standard of players. The level of technical ability was fantastic and we were amazed at the power and pace of the players – there are so many exceptional athletes out here and the players all had great attitudes which made it so enjoyable for us. Our coaches and scout are going to be asking some of the players we saw to come to the UK to try out at clubs and we genuinely think they have a chance of making it in the English game. We’d like to also say a big thank you to Vinzie and the “Footy Promotions” team who were fantastic hosts and everything was set up so professionally for us”.
The UKFT team now turns its attention to the forthcoming UK trial events where bookings are at record levels. We will be assembling our usual top class team of coaches and are busy ensuring we have more scouts attending than ever before. Clubs will be looking to pick up players ready for the new season and we hope UKFT players will be the ones brought in to strengthen squads.
