The winger was one of the standout players in the group coached by Woking First Team Coach, Steve Thompson, at the West London Trial this October. He was contacted after the trial and invited to train with the first team, which he did on Saturday, and has since been invited back to train again on Thursday. Richard, who was raised in Italy, was scouted for German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, for whom he signed and played for in the 2013/14, with the U23 squad. He now plays in England and is searching for a club - this non-league opportunity could prove a valuable stepping stone if he is to progress up the leagues. "I really enjoyed the trial with Woking. They're a great club and the team seemed really nice, they made me feel comfortable and welcome," said Richard. Steve Thompson, who took the session, said: "He did show some glimpses of what he could do and I think he does have a level. We're going to have another look at him." Speaking about his trial with us, Richard said: "The UK Football Trial was good, it was a really good session taken by a great coach. I enjoyed the drills he put us through and it was similar to my session with Woking, so it really prepared me for my trial with the club."
