The New 2 Day Football Camp
Here at UKFT, we are always trying to improve. An important part of this process is listening to what our players and their families want. Our five day residential camps have been a huge success, but parents and players told us that five days was a long time away, with the inevitable expenses they faced.
With this in mind, our team looked at the feasibility of introducing a two daycamp, with only one night away from home. This brings down the costs and makes it very much more affordable. But can a player hope to get a fantastic academy style football experience in just two days? The answer is a resounding “Yes”!
The venue is the same as the one for the five day camps, the beautiful ArdinglyCollege in West Sussex. Over the years this has proved to be an absolutely outstanding venue to hold our camps, with the nine acres of beautifully manicured grass pitches and outstanding facilities. The venue has been used by multiple EPL club academies as well as the England Lionesses as a training base. Our team knows it well, and the leisure, recreational and boarding facilities are of the very highest standard.
On both days all the players have pro academy style training sessions with our UEFA Pro and A licenced coaches. These sessions are in themselves an incredible experience, for these coaches are at the very top of their game, and will teach and inspire every single player, and will definitely improve their game.
Off the pitch there are sports psychology sessions, with an incredible inspirational speaker who was once the captain of the England Under 18’s. In addition, there are sessions with top level pro club scouts, who are a mine of information about everything a player needs to know about what they look for in players and how to get scouted.
On the second day, there will be more coaching sessions and drills in the morning, followed by matches where you will have to opportunity to showcase what you have learnt and your new skills in front of up to twenty scouts from premier league to semi pro level.
