Great news for a promising 10 year old Goal Keeper from Warwickshire who got scouted from our football trial in Birmingham at the end of October! Oliver already stands at 5 foot 3 and showed good feet, great distribution and bravery during our football trial.

Oliver trains extremely hard and is very disciplined in his daily routines for a player at such a young age: "I spend most evenings practicing my goalkeeping, either at the park or using a ball at home which I either throw against the wall and save or save shots against my dad in the back garden. Every opportunity I get, I am practising my football." Oliver then described his trial with the pro club: "At the UK Football Trial event I was scouted for Shrewsbury Town FC where I attended two trials - it was a great experience. I was able to train with some very talented football players; it was great fun and has made me more determined to succeed with my football career and develop my potential as a pro goalkeeper."

Oliver shone from the start and performed well both in the training and the matches. We asked him how he found his football trial experience with us: "My trial with UKFT was amazing. I was made to feel welcome from the minute I arrived. I was very nervous at first but once I got onto the field my nerves had gone. The training session was hard work but great fun. It was great to be shown new skills from the coach and to push myself to show my potential to the scouts. The feedback was very useful and has shown me key areas which I am constantly striving to improve on." We congratulate Oliver and will track his progress as a promising youngster with a great attitude.
