Short Summary:
• Professional clubs do not charge for trials. If you’re invited into a club by a scout, the club doesn’t ask you to pay to be assessed.
• We can’t speak for other organisations, and there are shady operators who claim you can pay for a club trial. Treat that as a red flag and verify directly with the club.
• UK Football Trials (UKFT) runs open, paid events so players can perform in front of multiple scouts. If a player is scouted at a UKFT event, they will not pay the club for the invitation.
• UKFT 1-day trials cost £99–£119 (stadium trials are higher).
