Ben Long, Aged 13, Scouted By AFC Wimbledon and Interest From Premier League Club
Great news for 13 year old (soon to be 14) central midfielder Ben Long as he joins our growing list of success stories! Ben attended our trials in May and was scouted by AFC Wimbledon chief scout and had interest from a Premier League scout too!
Ben has all the traits for his preferred position - good feet, vision, awareness, passing, receiving and ball control, with the fitness to get around the pitch. Ben gives his thoughts on his trial time so far: "I've been trialling with a joint squad at Wimbledon. I have enjoyed playing high intensity football in match related sessions and this is giving me confidence to make the right decisions both on and off the ball. I've also been approached by a Premier League team for a trial with them!" We congratulate Ben on his selection and wish him continued success on his trial time at the club!
