Austin Scouted by Wolves and Wins Trophy on Debut

11-year-old Austin was picked up by Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Essex trial in February after a fantastic performance, demonstrating his playing maturity when facing players of up to 14-years-old.

The following week, Austin was contacted by the club and invited to play with Wolves in a mini four team tournament against Birmingham City, Swindon Town and Derby County U12's academy teams.

His Mum, Sarah, told UK Football Trials, "They went on to win it so that was nice for him. It was such an experience," she said about Austin setting foot in the professional footballing world for the first time.

Austin was given the opportunity to represent Wolves in the tournament as a trial, so that the coaches at the club could see how he would fit into the current Academy squad.

Unfortunately, Austin wasn't quite what the club was looking for at this time but from our point of view, at just 11 years old, what a fantastic experience for young Austin to taste the footballing world! He can now tell his friends that he has played against world recognised clubs and this will give him a taste of what is just around the corner.

We were very thankful for Sarah's glowing reference of UK Football Trials. She quoted, "I would like to reiterate how professional UK Football Trials were from the moment I booked all the way through offering advice etc. I wasn't sure what to expect on the day as this was his first trial but UKFT were fantastic. Austin thoroughly enjoyed his Essex trial and to have the experience at Wolves was wonderful.

"I would recommend UK Football Trials to anyone and will definitely be booking again."

UKFT wish Austin nothing but the best and very much look forward to seeing him at another trial with us soon where we can hopefully find him another club!
