Daniel Jebbison has signed for Sheffield United Academy after being scouted from our trial in Birmingham this April.

The winger, who was 14 at the time of the trial, and Micah, 16, attended our event with his older brother Jonathan and both of them were scouted by Sheffield United, who were one of several clubs watching on the day.

The pair were both invited to play in two academy matches shortly after the trial and it was decided that Daniel would remain with the club throughout pre-season.

Ash Foyle, Sheffield United Head of Academy Recruitment, explained: “Dan played in the UDAN tournament this summer and did really well, he created a few goals and showed enough pace and athleticism for us to sign him.

“He’s good physically and tactically and he’s now here now until January the same as everybody else – a decision will be made whether to offer him a scholarship or not in December.”

Daniel has made quite the impression so far, and recently assisted the equalising goal against Liverpool.

Speaking after the UK Football Trials event in April, Daniel’s Dad, Patrick, said: “Daniel is enjoying it and settling in well. We’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks but it’s been a great experience so far.”
