UKFT Player Stars in Adidas Campaign
Adidas have chosen a recent UK Football Trials player to be the star of their latest social media campaign to launch their new Glitch19 Initiator Skins.
Fabio Nunes, 22, was present at our trials in October and has today been featured as the lead role in Adidas’ latest trainer release, which has already racked up over almost 300,000 views at the time of writing.
The video was released on the adidasfootball Instagram page at 9am on Thursday, 13th December, going out to 27.3 million followers around the world.
However, it’s not the first time Fabio has worked for one of football’s big brands, as he explained.
“This opportunity came about through my agency, and I’ve done things in the past for Puma, New Balance and Adidas previously too,” said Fabio.
“The video released today was shot last month in West London and was done in a day. I really enjoy these types of shoots.”
Fabio, who had trials for QPR and Crystal Palace as a youngster, is no stranger to the spotlight, having recently set up his own clothing brand, collaborating with Nike in the process.
He took centre stage at our trials too, and it wasn’t long until our Head of Digital had singled him out and shared a clip of his sublime skill to our Instagram followers, totalling more than 15,000 views.
“My dad told me about the UK Football Trials so I thought I’d give it a go,” said Fabio.
“At the time I thought it went well and I thought I was unlucky not to be scouted, I got a couple of assists and did well but it’s the scouts decision at the end of the day. I might try again soon.”
When he’s not working for his agency, Fabio plays for Hellenic League Premier Division side Windsor FC and is currently preparing for a big match in the FA Vase.
