After attending three football trials with us in August, Ola has already been in for a session with Ryman league side Tooting and Mitcham Utd. Trials in West London, Essex and South London saw him receive interest from three clubs in total, including a League 2 side. As a schoolboy, Ola had a six-week trial with Chelsea, before eventually signing for Charlton where he played for two years. Ola has since trialled with Millwall, Palace and Wycombe, before finding a home at Rotherham United on a 2-year scholarship.

In 2013 Ola was released from Rotherham when they decided against offering him a pro contract. “It was so hard to deal with, it was a big blow and obviously I was gutted to be released from Rotherham," he said, "I knew I had to look forward and bounce back from it and hopefully now I'll find something." Since his release, Ola has been training/playing with semi-professional sides to maintain his fitness, as well as working alone to ensure he is ready for the right opportunity. In pre-season he travelled to Manchester for six weeks of personal work with a trainer.
