Finney Jackson- Brown, Aged 11, Trial with Stoke City
We are delighted to announce that Finnley, who plays in goal, is set for a trial with Stoke City this summer, after he was spotted at our trial in Manchester last month. Standing at 5ft 3' at only 10-years-old, he possesses lots of height for his age, important for any goalkeeper.
On the day, Finnley displayed great shot stopping ability, a high quality of distribution and a superb reading of the game. Finnley came to UK Football Trials having just left Mossley Juniors FC, where he had been for several years before his recent move to semi pro side Stalybridge Celtic FC. In December 2014 he also went on trial with Manchester City.
Finnley's mother, Lynn, said: "He really enjoyed the trial, it was really well done. The younger ones were nurtured well, there was plenty of interaction and he learnt a lot. Overall a fantastic trial. "It has prepared him for the pro experience now, he’s ready to go in for a trial with a pro club after his experience with UK Football Trials."
