Liam Smith, Aged 19, Trial with Billericay Town
Liam Smith, 19, has secured a trial with Billericay Town of the Isthmian League Premier Division, after he was spotted at our Essex trial in February. Liam displayed composure on the ball, a creative flair and was able to both drive forward and defend - an important trait for a central midfielder. A member of Shenfield Football Academy, he trains three times a week and plays games on a Wednesday, also putting in extra hours at the gym to improve his strength. Speaking about his UK Football Trial, Liam said: "I enjoyed the trial, it was well structured and the drills gave us the chance to showcase different skills to the scouts. The coaches were helpful and they analysed my game really well. If you can go and show what you can do, can be confident, you will be spotted."
