Jay Holness has secured a trial with a Swansea City Development Squad after he was spotted by scouts at our Swansea trial in February. Jay possesses great speed for a central midfielder, as well as an obvious determination to win and an excellent reading of the game. He has previously had trials for Everdale, a semi-professional Welsh side, and Championship club Cardiff City. In order to stay fit and to keep improving, it's important to play as much as you can when you're young. Jay plays twice a week with his school and Saturday side Rhiwbina FC, who play in the local Welsh leagues, as well as organising sessions with other players at a 3G pitch two other times every week. Speaking about Jay's UK Football Trials Experience, Jay's dad, Gary, said: "We attended two trials with UK Football Trials and we definitely found that after going away and taking in the feedback from the first one, he was able to come back and make an impression on the scouts. He got on well with the coaches who were really friendly and overall we had a great time. "I would definitely recommend this to other parents and players, Jay really enjoyed both of his trials with UK Football Trials and because of them he was able to get a chance with Swansea, the team he wanted before he went to the trial."
