Jacob Sields, Aged 15
Great news from the UK Football Trials office today as 15 year old Jacob Shields secures a pro club trial in the coming fortnight. At 5 foot 10 and over 11 stone, Jacob is a physical presence on the pitch in Midfield where he also has two great feet to beat players.
On the day he greatly impressed UK Football Trials Head Coach Kevin Kent and the Accrington Stanley Head Coach. Jacob who has had two premiership team trials is one to watch and we asked him to describe his experience with us: "I loved it and really enjoyed the day. It was really organised, I got on with the coaches well and I was pleased with the feedback they provided me with at the end of the day. It’s always nice to hear things about your game from professionals who know what they’re talking about, as opposed to your parents!”
Karen who is Jacobs Mother also gave her opinion on the experience with UK Football Trials saying: "I definitely recommend UK Football Trials to parents who are unsure about the best place to send their child for a trial. I was dubious at first, but on reflection it was definitely worth the money – the level of coaching and scouts on offer make it worth every penny and they provide fantastic after care.” We congratulate Jacob and if any clubs would like further details to invite him in for a trial please contact the office.
