Kofi Opoku-Berchie - Secures Trial With Reading FC

Kofi, who plays as a central attacking midfielder, was spotted by a Reading scout at our football trials in London in October. When we asked the scout what caught his eye, he said that Kofi's skill, awareness and technical ability stood out.

The youngster, who plays two years above himself back home in Norway, was also invited to watch the first team's demolition of Newcastle United and be a ball boy for a reserve team match. UK Football Trials player Gabby Adelowo, who attended two of our trials, has signed a third year scholarship with Aldershot Town FC. Gabby, who plays as a centre-back or defensive midfielder, came to two UK Football Trials back in 2013 following his release from the QPR academy, where he spent 18 months.
