We told you last month the story of Kyle getting scouted from our Manchester Trial in August and we are delighted to hear today from Dave Bailey - Academy Head of recruitment at Accrington Stanley FC, English league Division 2, that he has now signed! Dave gave us his story! "We have signed Kyle as an Under 14 player in our academy here at Accrington Stanley FC. Myself and 2 other scouts attended the UKFT Manchester event and spotted Kyle very early in the day. We then monitored him throughout the trial, spoke to the UKFT coaches as the trial was progressing and then we saw him in their final game. Great news as exciting attacking player 13 year old Ethan Holland secures trials with 3 clubs having been a long term attendee at UK Football Trials. The team at UKFT have been fortunate to see Ethan and his brother Aidan progress over the past 2 seasons into even better players - all due to their hard work and fantastic attitudes. Currently at Ascot Town and Whitegrove FC, Ethan has been top goal scorer and top of the assists for the past few seasons and got scouted by three local clubs. Great news for a promising 10 year old Goal Keeper from Warwickshire who got scouted from our football trial in Birmingham at the end of October! Oliver already stands at 5 foot 3 and showed good feet, great distribution and bravery during our football trial. Oliver trains extremely hard and is very disciplined in his daily routines for a player at such a young age: "I spend most evenings practicing my goalkeeping, either at the park or using a ball at home which I either throw against the wall and save or save shots against my dad in the back garden. Kai, 20, brings with him a background of media and journalism, having created award-winning videos and worked as a journalist at newspapers over the past year. His new role as operations manager at UK Football Trials will see him work alongside Director Harry Price, developing new projects and improving services for the players, bringing YOU closer than ever before to the world’s leading football trials company. IT’S Decision Day at UK Football Trials – we have been in touch with every one of the 412 players who attended our trials last week. This has been the most successful week ever had by a football trials company in the world, with 43 players having been scouted by pro and semi pro clubs – better than 1 in 10. We are also delighted to announce that 17 players have been given an opportunity at Premier League clubs, one is already training today with the champions of England! The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive from the players and parents too – we really appreciate your comments! However, if you have not been lucky enough to be one of the players scouted this time, this does not mean you will not go on to play professionally. Sucje Lee, 11, flew over from South Korea to take part in four of our trials last week, following the team from London, to Birmingham and on to Manchester. The attacking midfield impressed scouts throughout the week and his details were requested by six clubs, four of whom play in the Premier League. Robin van der Laan, who captained Derby County in the First Division and the Premiership, recently coached on our most successful trials week ever in February, helping a massive 43 players get scouted by pro and semi pro clubs. The Dutch midfielder, who is now First Team Coach of semi pro side Newcastle Town, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, racking up more than 400 professional appearance between 1987 - 2001.
